2009 Lighthouse Lacrosse Fall Classic

The 3rd edition of this event is in the books. In addition to the girls event on Saturday, October 24 and the boys on the 25th, The JU women's team held scrimmages at the park during the girls event and Matt Kerwick (JU men's head coach), and a few pros, held a clinic just prior to the boys playing. This was a great event that keeps getting better.

2009 Lighthouse Lacrosse Academy

The second year of this academy was another huge success. There were dozens of elementary and middle school age kids participating in these academies at three different locations in town. The PAL and USL were key components for aquiring field space and providing equipment for the players to use.

Interest in the sport is growing tremendously in the Jacksonville area. Several schools have formed club teams to get started until their school gets a team to compete in the Florida High School Athletic Association.
